Job Statuses Explained for Hirers

Track and manage your job postings effectively with Jobloads’ status system. Here's what each status means and how to act on them.

1. Proposed: Job Open for Offers

Meaning: Your job has been listed, and suppliers can submit proposals.
Actions:

  • Review incoming proposals.

  • Reach out to suppliers for clarification if needed.

  • Accept or modify proposals to match your requirements.

Transition: Moves to Requested once a supplier is selected.


2. Requested: Awaiting Supplier Confirmation

Meaning: A job request has been sent to a supplier for their review and acceptance.
Actions:

  • Wait for the supplier to confirm or respond to your request.

  • Communicate with the supplier for any clarifications or updates.

Transition: Moves to Job In Progress if accepted or Declined if the supplier rejects the request.


3. Job In Progress: Active Job Underway

Meaning: The job has started, and the supplier is actively working.
Actions:

  • Monitor progress and provide support as needed.

  • Use Jobloads’ messaging system to communicate any changes or updates.

Transition: Moves to Completed once the supplier marks the job as done.


4. Upcoming: Scheduled but Not Started

Meaning: The job is scheduled to begin on a future date.
Actions:

  • Prepare the site and ensure all details are ready.

  • Assign internal tasks and share any last-minute updates with the supplier.

Transition: Automatically moves to Job In Progress on the start date.


5. Completed: Job Successfully Done

Meaning: The job has been completed, and all tasks are finished.
Actions:

  • Review the job outcome and provide feedback to the supplier.

  • Finalise payments and close the job.

Transition: Remains in this status unless reopened for additional tasks.


6. Cancelled: Job Terminated Early

Meaning: The job was stopped before completion.
Actions:

  • Notify the supplier and ensure proper documentation of the reason.

  • Resolve any outstanding obligations such as partial payments.

Transition: Can move here from Upcoming or Job In Progress.


7. Declined: Proposal Not Accepted

Meaning: A supplier declined your job request.
Actions:

  • Review their reasons and consider reaching out to other suppliers.

  • Repost or modify the job if necessary.

Transition: No automatic transitions; you’ll need to reinitiate a request.


8. Expired: Job Listing Expired

Meaning: No action was taken before the job listing’s expiration date.
Actions:

  • Repost the job if it’s still needed.

  • Archive the expired listing for record-keeping.

Transition: Automatically moves to Expired after the set time period.


9. All: View All Job Statuses

Meaning: This view aggregates all jobs for easier tracking.
Actions:

  • Use filters to quickly find jobs in specific statuses.
